Role overview
Founded in Lausanne in 1843, the Asylum for the Blind Foundation includes the Jules-Gonin Ophthalmic Hospital, a university ophthalmology department, a research centre, the Pedagogical Centre for Visually Impaired Students (CPHV), the social, rehabilitation and low vision service and the Clair-Soleil medico-social establishment.
More than 600 employees are mobilized every day in the service of visual health to offer diagnosis, treatment and support services to people with vision problems.
In order to complete our team, we are looking for a Head of Clinic.

- Supervision of the clinical activity of the outpatient clinic and the emergency department Management of own consultation

Main responsibilities
- Supervision of the clinical activity of the outpatient clinic and the emergency department Management of own consultation
- Supervision of the clinical activity of the assistant physicians Supervision of the inpatient unit
- Participation in the on-call service (surgical and/or non-surgical)
- Surgical activities according to the planning of the shifts in the Requisiti operating room
- Title of ophthalmologist FMH or equivalent (MEBEKO recognition)
- Knowledge of the Vaud and Swiss health system French – Minimum B2 level Global vision and sense of perspective Ability to decide, act and organize Ability to delegate Ability to analyze and synthesize Personal commitment and tenacity
