Within the Directorate-General for the Environment (DGE), the Forest Division (DGE-FORÊT) is responsible for the conservation, sustainable management and recovery of Vaudian forests. It works to preserve biodiversity, protect against natural hazards, produce sustainable wood and maintain forest infrastructure, while ensuring public acceptance and implementation of cantonal forestry policy.

• Under the direction of the forest guards and foremans, carry out the maintenance of the cantonal forests of the 2nd arrondissement located on the communes of Aigle, Ollon, Gryon, Bex and Lavey-Morcles, so that they can carry out their functions, in particular economic (wood production), protective (natural hazards), environmental (biodiversity and landscape) and social (accommodation).
• Participate in all the works ordered by the respective forest guards in the cantonal forests of the 2nd arrondissement.
• To carry out all work on the maintenance of cantonal forests in the framework of the protection and conservation of forests, in accordance with the rules of health and safety at work.
• Participation in the training of apprentices under the supervision of the forest guard (trainer in company) and the foreman or forester in charge of training in the workplace.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of forest infrastructure and buildings owned by the State of Vaud under the responsibility of the respective triage. • 2 years of desired professional experience in the performance of work within a public or private undertaking
• Increased sensitivity to workplace safety issues and ability to integrate into a small team
