Your future playground

You will join the Lausanne Bel Air store, whose opening in October 2024 is currently booming! You will become part of a dynamic team of 10 employees, in the heart of an urban and especially stimulating environment. Your Running/Fitness/Collective Sport area is at the core of our local strategy. It is a department that stands out for its very high versatility: your missions will be rich, varied, and will allow you to touch multiple facets of daily commerce, never leaving room for routine. The team, made up of 28 enthusiasts, generates a total turnover of 8.5 million CHF. To support this exceptional momentum, we are looking for an evolving profile, with the ambition and potential to take a Team Leader position within 6 months to 1 year. Indeed, the great versatility of this department makes this role a real accelerator of skills and autonomy. This position is designed as a strategic springboard: by quickly mastering the multiple operational, commercial and human challenges of your area, you will prepare yourself in the best conditions to lead and animate your own team in the very short term. What you will do daily: your missions

• Advice first: You welcome, listen and guide athletes toward the perfect product, whether on the floor or via our digital tools. You also propose our loyalty programme and handle the checkout.
• An impeccable department: You set up products, manage the “facing” and make your sales space attractive, dynamic and seasonally adapted.
• Stock mastery: From receiving pallets to shelving, you ensure the customer always finds what they are looking for. You also prepare web orders.
• Circular economy: You are the ambassador of our new models, rental and second‑hand buy‑back to give equipment a second life, for example.
• Occasional missions: Depending on your interests, you can become a reference on a topic, trainer for your colleagues or even help with the overall store management.

This position IS NOT for you if…

• You prefer to sit behind a screen all day in a quiet setting.
• You do not like approaching others spontaneously.
• You think unpacking pallets, tidying a department and handling merchandise “is not your problem”.
• You do not wish to work on Saturdays.
• You are looking for fixed, routine schedules: here we live to the rhythm of sport and our rosters adapt to activity (even though we communicate them to you 6 weeks in advance so you can organise yourself!).

What we expect from you

• You have excellent interpersonal skills. Customer satisfaction is your compass.

• You are efficient and can manage your priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
• You are passionate about and practice sport: it is the company’s DNA!
• You master French perfectly. Proficiency in English/German is a real plus.

What we offer you

(Small note: the amounts and benefits below are valid for a 100 % contract and will logically be prorated according to your activity rate!). Below are the main benefits.

• Salary and bonus: We propose a fixed salary between 4 100 CHF and 4 500 CHF gross per month, paid over 13 months. On top of that, there is a monthly bonus (up to 10 % of your gross salary) directly linked to the store’s collective performance. Plus the annual profit‑sharing: it is not guaranteed, but we give our all all year to earn it!
• Shareholding: once a year you can invest in Decathlon stock. It is an excellent investment as the share price has been rising for about ten years.
• Vacation: Because recovery is part of performance, you enjoy 5 weeks of paid vacation per year.
• Passion Sport: We fully support your practice! Enjoy a 25 % discount on your Decathlon purchases (and an additional 25 % discount if you buy a soft‑mobility product for your home‑to‑work commute). We also give you a voucher of 225 CHF per year for your sport or fitness membership.
• Your development: With us you never stop learning thanks to our hundreds of continuous trainings, whether to boost product knowledge, sales techniques or interpersonal communication. In addition, you have a dedicated monthly meeting with your Leader to discuss your goals and aspirations.
• Flexibility: Thanks to annualisation, your hours adapt to activity (you work more during peaks and recover when it is quiet). Your salary, however, remains stable and guaranteed each month.
