Role overview

As an Associate-Director in the Compliance department, you will be in charge of one of the Monitoring team.

Reporting directly to the Head AML Transaction Monitoring- Vice-Director, you will be in charge of the supervision of the operational activities and the people management in accordance with your senior management.

Main responsibilities

  • Key responsibilities Operations management:
  • Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team, including task coordination, performance management, and professional development of team members;
  • Oversee compliance and AML reviews of crypto currency transfers, ensuring timely and accurate analysis of higher-risk transactions;
  • Oversee compliance and AML reviews of cash, securities and crypto currency transfers made by Financial Institutions, ensuring timely and accurate analysis of higher-risk transactions;
  • Supervise the handling of sanctions alerts, providing escalation and final validation as needed;
  • Supervise the investigation on potentially suspicious clients;
  • Drive the optimization of internal procedures, including drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies and guidelines;
  • Represent Compliance in key regulatory and strategic projects, ensuring the monitoring function is embedded in business initiatives;
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and front-line teams, offering clear and pragmatic compliance guidance. Team Management:

  • University degree in Law, Economics, or a related field – a certification in Compliance Management is a strong asset;
  • Significant experience (minimum 5–7 years) in a Compliance function within the financial industry, with proven leadership and team management skills; Fluent in English and French; German is a strong asset;
