What you can expect

You help design safe and reliable rail infrastructure with direct impact for customers. You will evolve in a varied environment within the Romandie Works Engineering team, where collaboration and knowledge transfer are experienced on a daily basis. During the first two years, you will benefit from in-depth training focused on railways and you will develop continuously. Currently, two positions are vacant in Renens. One has as its main domain the line of the Valais, including the Haut-Valais. The second has the Jura-Neuchâtel line as its main area. • As a project manager, you manage a portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and conduct engineering works from pre-project to commissioning.
• You assume overall project management and ensure that costs, deadlines, quality and safety are respected.
• You coordinate internal specialists as well as external proxies and different stakeholders, and ensure an effective interface with railway operations.
• You control and validate the designs, size the load-bearing structures and, if necessary, carry out internal expertise.
• Depending on the file, you take overall responsibility for the execution of the work and represent the projects in bodies or with external bodies.

of what you bring

• Through your proactive and engaged way of working, you lead interdisciplinary teams and convince diverse stakeholders.
• In demanding project situations, you solve problems in a structured way and communicate clearly and appropriately to interlocutors.
• You bring several years of professional experience, for example in an engineering office, in project management or in project management; a first experience in railway project management is an advantage.
• You have solid technical knowledge in the calculation, design and execution of load-bearing structures, for example with experience in reinforced concrete and metal construction.
• You have a degree in civil engineering (ETH, HES/Hei or equivalent qualification) and use French at level C1 and German at level B2 in the professional context.
