Full description

As a librarian-archivist, you play an essential role in the Cantonal Museum of Archaeology and History (MCAH). Your mission is to ensure the management, development and exploitation of documentary resources, while guaranteeing a quality service to users and partners.

• Be responsible for the design and implementation of MCAH's Archives Management Policy.
• Ensure responsibility, operation and service to library users (cataloging, coding, equipment, storage, conservation, inventories).
• Ensure the development of physical and electronic collections according to the needs identified by scientists and ensure the ordering and receipt of acquisitions and donations.
• Collaborate in documentary research to facilitate mediation, communication and/or performance of exhibitions.
• Participate in the supervision of auxiliary/trainee staff, maintain relationships with all partners and represent the library in business sessions and seminars. • Master in Information Sciences.
• Further training in archives management.
• Experience of minimum 5 years as a librarian or archivist, ideally acquired in the cultural field.
• Good mastery of Alma SIGB, GED software and common office tools.
• Interest in archaeology, history and ethnography.
• English level B1 and German level B1, an asset.
• Decision-making and determination.
• Organization and time management.
• Capacity for analysis and synthesis.
