What awaits you. As a train traffic manager, you monitor the railway network assigned to you while ensuring the regulation and control of trains from your workstation equipped with approximately eight screens. In normal operation, you observe traffic, manage operations and ensure that everything runs smoothly. In the event of a fault, you are responsible for operational management: as such, you analyze the situation and introduce the necessary measures to resolve the fault and restore normal operations as quickly as possible. You thus play a determining role for mobility in Switzerland. Without you, the network remains at a standstill. The impact of your work, essential to the proper functioning of the system, is immediate: you ensure the coordination of people and technology and make rapid decisions, thanks to which you directly contribute to the safety and reliability of rail traffic. We offer you a second training course as a paid train traffic manager, lasting eight months. Once you have successfully passed your final exam, you will work at the Renens operations center and help transport around 9,000 passenger trains and 2,000 freight trains punctually and safely every day. Learn more about the profession at the next information session. You view irregular hours and shift work as an advantage to enjoy your free time while others are working. With us, working nights and Sundays entitles you to additional remuneration, e.g. ex. CHF 16.– per hour for Sunday work.
Time increases of 10 to 30% are granted for night work, which gives you more free time. To find out about social benefits, such as free GA and discounted travel abroad (also for the family), go to our website under Social benefits. Possible start dates:
