- Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing processes.
- PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in pharmaceutical process development, ideally within a CDMO or GMP manufacturing environment.
Main responsibilities
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of chemical manufacturing processes.
- Supporting process scale-up and technology transfer from laboratory to pilot plant and commercial manufacturing.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase process robustness, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.
- Applying Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and scientific data analysis to accelerate process understanding.
- Acting as the technical lead for customer projects, providing scientific expertise during client meetings and technical discussions.
- Collaborating closely with Process Research, Analytical Development, Production, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and HSE.
- Preparing technical documentation including development reports, risk assessments, technology transfer packages, and regulatory support documents.
- Identifying innovative technologies and new scientific approaches to strengthen process development capabilities.
Key requirements
- PhD or MSc in Organic Chemistry, Process Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
- Significant experience (5+ years) in pharmaceutical process development, ideally within a CDMO or GMP manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, process optimization, and scale-up.
- Good knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE), Quality by Design ( QbD ), Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and statistical data analysis.
- Experience supporting technology transfer from laboratory to pilot or commercial manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of GMP requirements and ICH guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and scientific reasoning skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, including customer interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high scientific standards.
