Main responsibilities
- Planning and responsibilities of the genetic improvement program of apricot (operational planning and implementation of the genetic improvement program of apricot
- autonomous development of the agronomic evaluation methodology of apricots based on the latest scientific and practical knowledge
- ensuring collaboration with national and international partners and coordinating the experimental testing network)
- Conduct research focused on the selection of apricots (development of new genetic and phenotypical selection tools in collaboration with internal research groups in Agroscope and other national and international partners, using modern, digital and molecular biology-based selection methods)
- Support for genetic improvement in apple and pear selection programs
- Acquiring and developing projects financed by third party contributions
Key requirements
- University Diploma / FP / SUP (MSc) in Agricultural Sciences, Biology or a Affinable Discipline

- Transfer of knowledge (reduction of scientific and technical-practical publications and contributions for conferences; organization of conferences, technical and scientific visits)
- Data management of the genetic improvement program of the apricot to ensure traceability of acquired data and analysis throughout the selection cycle and beyond Requirements
- Enthusiasm for practical work in the field and the management of experimental tests, good physical resistance
- Great autonomy, creativity, decision-making and implementation capacity
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, statistics and databases
