An engineer in structural improvements (80%) with the Agricultural Service, Office for Structural Improvements, in Châteauneuf (Sion)

Your tasks

• You support public authorities, corporations, municipalities and farmers in the planning, modernization and implementation of structural improvement projects, primarily those referring to water resources
• You ensure the technical, administrative and financial monitoring of the projects, as well as the procedures for the approval and grant of cantonal and federal financial aid
• You advise project leaders and coordinate interventions with the authorities, relevant services and relevant partners You are contributing to the development of public policies for sustainable and resilient water resources in rural areas, as well as to the evolution of the Office's practices and tools (numerization, GIS, data management)

Your profile

• HES or EPF degree in rural engineering, civil engineering, hydrology, geomatics, environment or equivalent training High interest in the sustainable management of water resources, structural improvements and development of rural areas Knowledge of agricultural structural improvements, water resources management, hydraulics, irrigation, an asset Experience or ability to lead projects and coordinate multiple partners Spirit of analysis, sense of responsibility, autonomy and ability to propose pragmatic and innovative solutions Mastering GIS tools (ArcGIS or equivalent) and interest in digital tools Excellent communication skills, sense of organization and ability to work in teams and on the ground French mother tongue with good knowledge of the second official language
