- all Underwriting elements for new business & renewals in handling the assignments of the highest complexity and works within delegated authorities, measuring exposure & analyzing risk, determining technical price according to certified/agreed pricing process, quoting & setting coverage, negotiating terms & conditions
- Contribute to managing accounts; build relationships in support of customer/ business acquisition and retention (e.g. by handling a range of queries, providing advice to assist with the development of an account; implementing agreed technical standards, controls, practices and procedures, thereby maintaining underwriting discipline
- Timely update and use of Underwriting Scorecards and other MI tools & processes to proactively manage and improve the portfolios mix & performance and pipelines management Job Qualifications Degree holder
- Minimum 2 years working experience in General Insurance program
- Good multi-lines underwriting knowledge mainly on Property & Casualty business
- Good knowledge & experience in evaluating middle market exposures as well as directing and assisting others in analyzing unusual risks
- Experience & knowledge in negotiating mid-market deals; demonstrate in-depth experience with middle market customers and delivering customer service options
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and overcoming difficult issues with brokers and creating and delivering programs for addressing the needs of multiple or large producers To be a team player Fluency in English & Cantonese; Mandarin-speaking is an added advantage
