Role overview
- assess the medical conditions of the right to benefits of invalidity insurance, in particular capacity/workability, functional restrictions, insurance resources, the probable evolution of work capacity, and draw up the necessary medical reports
- provide advice and support to UAI services for medical requirements related to different insurance benefits (e.g. integration measures, reintegration measures or professional measures, health measures and returns)
- complete the medical information necessary for the evaluation of the cases by consulting the attending physicians, arrange the collection of the necessary documentation to third parties and/or if necessary visit the insured persons, perform internal evaluations and/or propose the conduct of external surveys
- develop, acquire and/or maintain their medical skills (continuous training), insurance medicine and the special legislation applicable to the sector (general expectations)
- participate in working groups at cantonal and/or federal level
- Federal diploma as a doctor or title of equivalence issued by MEBEKO
- authorisation for the exercise of the medical profession issued by the Health Office of the Canton Ticino
- are preferential title: the multiannual clinical experience (in the hospital or private study) in Switzerland, the title of specialist doctor (FMH or equivalent) in general internal medicine or rheumatology, certification as a SIM expert and experience in Switzerland in insurance medicine
- proficiency of the Italian language (conversation and editing) and knowledge of a second official language, is a preferential title of German knowledge
- result orientation, decision-making, flexibility and good relational skills
