Zurich North America’s Staff Legal Office is currently hiring a Paralegal II, General Liability to join their team!
Under the supervision of an attorney, the successful candidate’s work will be in support of moderate to complex liability litigation cases (e.g. case work, research, discovery responses, subpoenas, etc.).

- Designed with our employees' needs in mind, while facilitating in-person connections and collaborative activities when meaningful and valuable, our hybrid model provides a high level of flexibility and autonomy, requiring in-office attendance only once a week at our Irvine office. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Conducting interviews, summarizing depositions, reviewing discovery responses and medical records Preparing discovery requests and responses
- Scheduling Surveillance, Compulsory Medical Exams, and Site Inspections Assisting in trial preparation
- Collaborating with attorneys, staff, claims professionals and leadership to accomplish successful business and litigation outcomes. Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Legal Support area
- Associate Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Legal Support area
- Experience drafting legal documents, correspondence, and/or pleadings Experience in legal support Experience with Microsoft Office
- Have a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Have a certificate from an accredited paralegal program with at least 24 semester units of law-related courses
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher and one year of law-related experience under the supervision of a California-licensed attorney who has been practicing for the past three years (or an attorney who's practiced in California federal courts for the past three years).
