Outpatient psychiatry with room for manoeuvre: You are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of adults into old age, shape the psychiatric offer and pass on your knowledge to the next generation. If you wish, you will acquire the main title of age psychiatry entirely on site – at an academic clinic near Basel. Her employer is a large public psychiatric institution in northwestern Switzerland. She treats adults as well as children and adolescents on an outpatient, daily clinical, inpatient and home treatment. Adult psychiatry has several areas of expertise, including age psychiatry, crisis intervention, addiction disorders and psychotherapy and psychosocial therapies. The institution is a certified continuing education institution of the highest category. The ambulatory works in social psychiatry and general psychiatry, with an emphasis in age psychiatry.
