Your profile

• Completed training as a specialist for general internal medicine
• Advantageous is a previous senior doctor in inpatient general internal medicine within Switzerland
• Holder of Certificates of Ability Sonography/POCUS or shortly before obtaining
• Knowledge of German at level C1 is required
• Promotion of Dr. med.
• Resilient, team capable and communicative personality with pleasure in interdisciplinary cooperation

Our offer

We offer you a responsible and versatile activity at a university centre with an international reputation and the highest medical standards. On the bed station of the Hospital for Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University Hospital Zurich, 30 inpatients are usually cared for. For the care of our patients: inside on the Intermediate Care stations and intensive care units we are available for consiliar care. For this task we have provided 2 cadre positions. The Director of Stationary Gastroenterology is Ms. PD Dr. med. Sena Blümel. For the further education of our assistant doctor: inside in general internal medicine we have the further education entitlement of category D. Our inpatient care covers the complete field of gastroenterology and hepatology. Among other things, we provide patients: women with advanced liver diseases up to liver transplantation; with complex pancreato-biliary diseases; with upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding; with severe forms of chronic inflammatory bowel diseases and motility disorders; as well as patients: for follow-up after complex endoscopic procedures. This results in a close interdisciplinary cooperation with the fields of surgery, radiology, anesthesia and intensive care medicine.
