As a military airfield of the Swiss Air Force, the Locarno airfield command is responsible for the permanent operational readiness of the Luftwaffe of aeroplanes and helicopters. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology and your quality and precision, you make an important contribution to fulfilling our tasks at the forefront and are the link between the ground and the air.

You can make this contribution

• Carry out maintenance and repair work on PC-6 and PC-7 aircraft and EC-635 and SP/SC helicopters

• Prepare flight readiness, carry out interim checks and re-establishment of the systems and hand over the aircraft to the pilot/in

• Guaranteeing knowledge transfer in technical courses

• Take part in various tasks at the aerodrome (e.g. flight accident picket airfield control, parachute folding, etc.)

• Supporting assignments abroad and outside normal working hours as a loadmaster/technician

This makes you unique

• Completed technical apprenticeship (automatic, polymechanic or similar training) with an interest in aviation

• Driver's license category B mandatory, C and E of advantage and good IT knowledge (MS-Office/SAP) desired

• Responsible, team- and customer-oriented and independent working methods

• Good physical and psychological condition to carry out survival training in the field of land and sea

• Good active knowledge of at least one second official language and, if possible, passive knowledge of a third official language

The Kdo Op includes the Luftwaffe, the Army, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT Competence Center, the Special Forces Command and the Military Police.
