Local Finance and Controlling Manager (m/f)

• Job Posting The EOC (Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale) is a multisite hospital in Ticino with a total of 1,000 beds across its various locations. Thanks to the commitment and expertise of over 6,500 employees and their attention to human relationships, EOC ensures quality healthcare by taking care of over 41,000 inpatients per year and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations. To complete our team at the Cardiocentro Ticino Institute in Lugano, we are looking for a Local Finance and Controlling Manager (m/f) (100%). Job Purpose and Responsibilities: Ensure efficient planning and use of resources in line with the objectives of Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale (EOC) and Istituto Cardiocentro Ticino (ICCT). The Local Finance and Controlling Manager, a member of the local management team, ensures the economic and financial sustainability of the Institute through planning, control, and monitoring of resources, economic and financial reporting, and support to the management in strategic planning processes, in compliance with EOC directives and the regulatory framework. Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure local financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Coordinate and develop economic and analytical controlling processes.
• Provide clear, reliable, and decision-support-oriented periodic reporting.
• Monitor costs, revenues, investments, and performance indicators.
• Collaborate with management and service heads to improve economic efficiency.
• Coordinate and develop the Finance and Controlling team.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, financial, and public law regulations.
• Provide hospital management with necessary and correct training and information on analytical accounting and related monitoring tools. Profile Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Business Economics or Diploma of specialist in finance and accounting or Expert in finance and controlling or equivalent titles.
• Several years of experience in similar roles, preferably in a hospital or complex organizations.
• Strong skills in analytical accounting, management control, and reporting.
• Ability to strategically read economic and financial data.
• Experience in team management and development.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Attitude towards interdisciplinary collaboration and work in complex institutional contexts.
• Mastery of main computer systems and programs.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Italian; good knowledge of a second language.
