Full description

Railway infrastructure does not end at the edge of the track. With your legal expertise, you will support demanding infrastructure projects and create legal clarity, from spatial planning through environmental and property issues to land and rights acquisition. In doing so, you will help ensure that our projects can be planned and implemented in a legally sound manner.

What awaits you

• Handle demanding legal cases independently, focusing on construction, spatial planning and environmental law
• Provide legal support for infrastructure projects and create planning certainty with well-founded solutions
• Advise project managers and subject-matter specialists on the relevant areas of law as well as on land and rights acquisition
• Represent BLS's interests vis-à-vis authorities, neighbours, contractual partners and other stakeholders
• Further develop legal standards as well as contract and template management in the area of land and rights
• Be part of an interdisciplinary team made up of land acquisition specialists and lawyers

What you bring

• A law degree as well as practical experience in construction, spatial planning and environmental law
• An interest in administrative law and legal issues relating to infrastructure projects
• Enjoy working on complex issues in an understandable manner and developing pragmatic solutions
• An independent working style, negotiation skills and a confident demeanour
• Very good German skills; proficiency in French at a negotiating level is an advantage
