Role overview
Reporting to the Head of IT Audit, you will be a key technical expert within the internal audit team.
You will be operating in a bank where technology represents a key pillar of the business strategy, with a strong focus on the in-house development of proprietary banking solutions.
Your primary mission is to conduct in-depth, risk-based audits across our modern and complex technology landscapes and evaluate IT risks, security controls, and regulatory compliance (FINMA).

- Execute and Lead IT Audit Engagements: Take an active role in planning, executing, and reporting on risk-based audits covering information technology, infrastructure, data privacy, and information security.
- Audit Modern Technology Landscapes: Perform in-depth assessments of IT processes, risks, and controls within a cutting-edge environment (AI, cloud, CI/CD pipelines), critically evaluating the design and effectiveness of the internal control system.
Key requirements
- Execute and Lead IT Audit Engagements: Take an active role in planning, executing, and reporting on risk-based audits covering information technology, infrastructure, data privacy, and information security.
- Audit Modern Technology Landscapes: Perform in-depth assessments of IT processes, risks, and controls within a cutting-edge environment (AI, cloud, CI/CD pipelines), critically evaluating the design and effectiveness of the internal control system.
- Shape Audit Strategy: Contribute your IT and security expertise to the risk-based audit planning process, helping to define key areas of focus and strategic priorities.
- Enhance Audit Methodologies: Drive the modernization of our audit approaches by developing and integrating advanced techniques using data analytics and leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance audit effectiveness, increase assurance, and automate testing.
- Collaborate on Joint Audits: Lead or assist in integrated audits with the business audit team and manage co-sourced audit engagements with external partners.
- Support Ad-Hoc Projects: Work independently on ad-hoc assignments and special projects as required by management.
- Education & Certifications: A Bachelor's or master's degree in ICT or equivalent. A professional certification such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP is highly desirable, as is a commitment to obtaining one.
- Core Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in a technical capacity (e.g., IT Audit, IT Security, IT Risk Management, or IT Compliance) within the Swiss financial industry.
- Frameworks & Regulations: Strong knowledge of IT audit methodologies and frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST) and a solid understanding of the Swiss regulatory landscape, or the willingness to rapidly develop this knowledge.
- Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Italian and English are required. German language skills are a plus.
- Key Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders, effective team collaboration, a capacity for rapid learning, and high adaptability to change.
- Travel: Availability for travel approximately up to 10% within Switzerland and also abroad.
