Key requirements
Completed apprenticeship with federal qualification certificate and basic training as a firefighter
Medical fitness, including respiratory protection training for the fire service, and experience as a firefighter

Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn is located in Oberwald, Canton of Valais. Cross-border workers need a G Permit, renewable annually, to work in Switzerland. The Canton of Valais applies withholding tax at variable rates on gross income, and since 2024 the New Tax Agreement introduces concurrent taxation between Italy and Switzerland.
