Tasks

The owner of the function, included in the Drinking Water Section of AIM, AP Plant and Quality Office, will have the following main tasks:

• to collaborate in the phase of study, realization and commissioning of new plants

aqueducts;

• co-ordinate the ordinary maintenance of the plants and the

aqueduct infrastructure in accordance with the provisions of self-control provided for by Swiss food legislation;

• operate as a reference person for fault management, maintenance

ordinary and improvement interventions regarding telemanagement and electrical installations;

• keep the documentation inherent to the plants per day;
• provide availability to participate in the regular picket service.

In addition

• may be or be given other work assignments compatible with its function

and its skills;

• can be called or called to service at irregular times, even out of time

and on public holidays according to the needs of service. City of Mendrisio Competition

Requirements

• Federal Certificate of Capacity (AFC) as Electrical Installer;
• experience in aqueducts can be preferential title;
• good knowledge of MS Windows operating system and its MS Office tools;
• good relational, organizational, communicative and analytical skills;
• license to conduct category B;
• Swiss citizenship or home in Switzerland.

Preferential securities may be set up

• availability to obtain the diploma of Fontaniere/a AFP;
• knowledge of a second national language (German or French).

Gross annual wage (including threeteenth monthly and salary scale updated at 01.01.2026):

• Classes (4)* 5 - 7 ROD (Operation/or Artisan Function);

• Minimum: CHF 62’022.-- yearly; (*CHF 58’371.-- yearly)

• Maximum: CHF 85’327.-- annual;

• In addition to the salary is paid, to the entitled, the allowance for children according to

LAFam.

• In case of intake of employees with little experience or for which it is reasonably

necessary to predict an introduction period, the Town Hall can establish a lower initial salary of a class than the minimum entry class. Within the framework of the above-mentioned possibilities of pay, the City Hall can recognize the activity carried out previously, if conformed to this Chapter, assigning one or more year of service pursuant to art. 29 cpv. 2 ROD.
