• We are looking for a Head of Data Platform Engineering to join our team of about 1,700 people worldwide to help boost travel for millions of tourists. • Team: You will join the Data Warehouse team within the Data Platform Engineering area in the Data department.
• Level: Managerial and Tech leading with responsibility to manage people, set management and distribute technical resources and knowledge, referring to the Chief Data Officer.

Impact

• Build and develop our data platform
• Define and implement enterprise data infrastructure on cloud and hybrid environments
• Define reference architectures for modern data systems: data lakehouses, streaming pipeline, APIs and microservices
• Ensure reliability, security, data quality and compliance
• Manage the full life cycle of data: ingestion, storage, processing, orchestration and distribution
• Drive and develop your team
• Manage and mentor a Data Engineer and Data Architect team
• Set technical management, priority and manage performance
• Build a culture of collaboration, quality and continuous learning
• Draw and hold data talents
• Work with the CDO to shape the organization's data strategy
• Collaborate with Data, Technology and Business departments to align priorities
• Continuously optimizes performance, cost and platform capabilities by evaluating emerging technologies

Experience and leadership

• 5+ years in data engineering roles, platform engineering or data architecture
• 3+ years of experience driving technical teams, with a proven ability to manage, mentor and grow engineers
• Try to deliver enterprise-wide data platforms in manufacturing environments
• Experience in working closely with management and translating the strategy running
• Deep competence in modern data architectures: data lakehouses, event systems, streaming platforms
• Practical experience with cloud data platforms and hybrid environments
• In-depth knowledge of data technologies: SQL and NoSQL databases, streaming systems, orchestration tools
• Master of Python, SQL and modern data tools
• Strategic Mind
• Ability to balance technical excellence with corporate value
• Strong capacity for collaboration and management of stakeholders
• Comfort with ambiguity and ability to drive clarity in complex environments
• Nice to Have: Previous experience in travel-oriented environments and technology
