Role overview

The Office for Military and Civil Protection is the cantonal authority responsible for all aspects of the Military, Civil Protection, and Civil Defense sectors and enforces the relevant laws.

Civil Protection is one of the five partner organizations of Civil Defense (Police, Fire Department, Health Sector, Technical Infrastructure, Civil Protection).

In the canton of Graubünden, around 1700 members of the Civil Protection are deployed in the regional Civil Protection companies and various specialized formations.
