- The following position is addressed to candidates wishing to apply spontaneously as a Chief Medical Officer of the EOC Emergency Medical Service (SMU EOC) is located in Lugano and Bellinzona (category 1 multidisciplinary training centre), as well as in Mendrisio and Locarno (category 2 training centre).

- The headquarters of Lugano also serves as a hub centre for the Canton Ticino as regards time pathologies such as stroke, polytrauma and ischemic cardiopathy.
- Each head of the SMU EOC will be assigned priority to one of the EOC SMU EOC (Bellinzona, Locarno, Lugano, Mendrisio) and will be able to rotate on the other sites.
- Applicants/ eligible candidates will be employed within an interdisciplinary team in which they will perform clinical activities and will have the opportunity to do clinical and training research, also covering organizational tasks.
- People chosen will also have a role as tutor of doctors in training, as well as medical students of the University of Italian Switzerland.
- Applicants will have wide and interesting training opportunities, ranging from weekly training, simulation, discussion of complex clinical cases, to clinical toxicology lessons.
- They can then attend courses such as ACLS, ATLS, POCUS, PALS, NIV and complete their training to obtain the recognition of SMUSS emergency doctor if not yet in possession.
- P er physicians with foreign qualifications: the recognition by the Federal Commission for medical professions MEBEKO is compulsory and its registration in MedReg before the beginning of the activity proven knowledge of the Italian language (level required at least B2) with relative registration to MedReg before the start of the activity, hoped knowledge of other national languages and the English medical certificate of urgency SMUSS is preferential clinical experience in Swiss or foreign hospitals
