Tasks

• hotel service, cleaning:
• cleanliness and disinfections (equipment and property) according to the provisions and the programme set up by the responsible persons
• uses cleaning products in accordance with the service provisions
• uses equipment and working machines taking care of maintenance and promptly reporting any need for repair
• respects the rules for individual protection devices (DPI) and ensures safety at work
• respects institutional rules, as regards the personal effects of users
• cooperates with the caregiver and transmits, in the limit of their knowledge and skills, the information concerning their work and the behavior of the users, without interfering in the therapeutic plan of the users
• in case of need, it supports the other groups of the Hotel Service and cooperates with the Food Service
• hotel service, laundry, tailoring:
• manages dirty laundry in the laundry according to the provisions and instructions of work
• treats clean linen according to the provisions and instructions of work and prepares it for distribution, within Casvegno and for external customers
• performs the labelling of company linen, staff and work clothes
• follows the daily activity in the laundry, in collaboration with the professional areas inclusive (API)
• cleanliness and disinfections (equipment and property) of the laundry according to the provisions and the program set up by the responsible
• if necessary, it helps in the cleaning of the buildings of Casvegno and collaborates with the catering service
• catering service:
• cleanliness and disinfections (equipment and property) according to the provisions and plans set up by the responsible persons
• performs daily washing of dishes
• prepares vegetables for meals (cutting and cleaning) and collaborates with cooks/ cooks in the preparation of meals
• collaborates with the distribution of meals: the tape and/or the counter, independently prepares breakfasts and evades food requirements for departments and housing units
• if necessary, cooperate with the hotel service
• uses the equipment and the working machines taking care of maintenance and promptly reporting any need for repair and use cleaning products in accordance with the service provisions
• respects the rules for individual protection devices (DPI) and ensures safety at work

Requirements

• Federal certificate of capacity (AFC) used for domestic economy or operator/machine for ordinary and maintenance cleaning constitute preferential title
• proven experience in the hotel and/or catering sector are preferential title
• availability at shiftwork (weekends and holidays included)
• good mastery of the Italian language (speaking and written)
• flexibility, organizational and relational skills
• aptitude for group work
• availability to work in contact with people in the sociopsychiatric field
• knowledge of Ticino

Special remarks

• Depending on the need, candidates may be contacted for part-time/total recruitment. In its application the candidate is invited to indicate the desired percentage
• availability by/of the candidate/to work at irregular times and to work shifts (festives and night)
• This is an annual competition, with the possibility of being recruited during 2026, candidates will not be given a positive or negative answer. They will be informed only about the validity of their application in relation to the requirements required

Terms of use

• appointment or assignment: these are those provided for by the Law on the sorting of employees of the State and teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the relevant Regulations. Any amendment of the law concerning salary and organization remains explicitly reserved
• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment ratio), flexible or according to service requirements

Requirements

• Federal VET Diploma (AFC) in home economics or cleaning/maintenance preferred

• Proven experience in the hospitality and/or catering sector preferred

• Availability for shift work (including weekends and holidays)

• Good command of the Italian language (spoken and written)

• Flexibility, organizational and interpersonal skills

• Aptitude for teamwork

• Willingness to work in contact with people in a sociopsychiatric setting

• Knowledge of the Ticino region
