Bastian Lerch BL/sp 13 March 2026 AVVISO DI CONCORSO IL MUNICIPIO DI LOCARNO makes known that the contest for the recruitment of a Master/a of Cittadina Music is open and responsible for youth formations (15%) that will work at the Popular School of Music of Locarno (SPML). The position holder assures the musical direction of the Citizen Music of Locarno, coordinating the development of youth formations (miniband and youth orchestra) in connection with the management of the school. In particular, the person will take care of: • direct and develop youth training (miniband and youth orchestra): regular tests, repertoires and performances; • coordinate the musical content of the Music Cittadina di Locarno: preparation and conduct of tests and concerts; • plan the repertoire and the annual activities in coordination with the management of the school; • enhance and accompany the new levers, ensuring the transition of the students to the secretarial music Entry into service is scheduled for 1 July 2026. Required Requirements • Bachelor in Music (preferably title in band direction or equivalent). • Proven experience in the direction of bandistic formations and, in particular, young people. • Pedagogical preparation and experience in teaching instruments (physics and/or percussion). • Ability of musical leadership, clear communication and aptitude for collaboration with faculty, parents and volunteer musicians. • Available at flexible times (even evening or public concerts). 2 Remuneration The position is framed in the role of Teacher - SPML in class 11 (according to ROC-LO). The salary fork, for 100% use, starts from CHF 73’857.- up to a maximum of CHF 110’785.-, to which allowances for children must be added (CHF 2’580.- /CHF 3’216.-).
