Public Competition Public competition at the City of Mendrisio. ## Position

• Position: Educator (70%). ## Description The Mendrisio Municipal Council is opening a competition for the hiring of an educator at 70% on an indefinite basis, at the Municipal Nursery School, under the conditions of the current Staff Regulations of the City of Mendrisio (ROD). ## Duties The holder of the position deals with educational activities with children from 3 months to 4 years at the Municipal Nursery School of the City of Mendrisio. Generally:
• manages and verifies individualized educational paths, which aim at developing the child's potential to achieve increasingly higher levels of autonomy and well-being;
• formulates pedagogical projects (development programs) using specific techniques and methods of educational intervention, both at an individual and group level;
• reads, understands and supports complex relationships, translating them into educational interventions, of which he/she maintains awareness and control;
• updates his/her training based on the specific fields he/she performs;
• actively participates in meetings convened by the Direction and study days;
• collaborates in the decision-making processes of his/her team, engaging to share professional knowledge and experiences;
• contributes to creating a positive work environment and climate;
• is responsible for the precise and timely transmission of information and communications, ensuring that they reach the recipients in an adequate manner. ## Requirements
• Formal requirements:
• Diploma of childhood educator SSS or equivalent title.
• Diploma of educator SUPSI, EISS, or equivalent title recognized by SEFRI. ## What We Offer
• Gross annual salary (thirteenth salary included and salary scale updated as of 01.01.2026):
• Classes: (7*) 8
• 10 ROD (function of Administrative Collaborator);
• Minimum: CHF 72,975.-- per year at 100%, (* CHF 69,324.--);
• Maximum: CHF 100,867.-- per year at 100%;
• In addition to the salary, the allowances according to LAFam are paid to those entitled.
• Working week at 100%: 40 hours.
• Employment rate: 70%.
• Start of activity: As of August 1, 2026.
