Deployed at several sites, the Lavigny Institution consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations at two sites, two departments for adults with disabilities, with an intellectual disability with a physical problem, a specialized school and a workshop and vocational training sector respectively.

At the Lavigny Institution, on the Astres Sector, we accompany adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) associated with complex behavioural disorders on a daily basis. The Astres sector consists of 3 places of life. Their reality is to accompany men and women between the ages of 18 and 80 years living with intellectual disabilities and predominant behavioural disorders.

Your mission

• Work in human-sized places of life.
• Decode behaviour from complex profiles to better understand needs.
• Create secure benchmarks and use appropriate communication tools (PECS, CAA).
• Accurately accompany, between structuring and benevolent settings.
• Show patience, creativity and consistency in dealing with situations that are sometimes intense.
• Live days combining support in the acts of daily life with supervised activities, thought for each and conducted over the long term.
• To ensure the physical and psychological well-being of the residents, to pay attention to their state of health and to intervene quickly if necessary (nurse, general practitioner and psychiatrist present in the Institution).
• To be a trusted reference, able to understand the emotions behind the acts.
• Build and adapt customized individual projects.
• Work closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
• Encourage and maintain good relations with families and legal representatives.

Your profile

• Training of specialist teachers at the ES or HES level in the field of special education or social services.
• ESA training or equivalent.
• Analytical skills developed for fine-tuning complex situations and adapting intervention strategies
• Experience or strong skills to accompany complex profiles.
• Trained or sensitized to approaches: ABA, TEACCH, PECS, CAA (an asset).
• Ready to learn, share and evolve with the team and welcomed people.
