Role overview

Job Description - Direct and coordinate the activities of the Professional Training Division - Coordinate the development and promotion of basic, higher, and continuous professional training - Promote the qualitative development and innovation of professional training - Ensure alignment between political guidelines and operational implementation of professional training in Ticino - Collaborate with the Department's management in developing and implementing strategies in the field of professional training - Represent and provide support to the Department for federal university guild meetings and participate in cantonal, federal, and intercantonal working groups and commissions on professional training - Develop and coordinate proposals for government messages and responses to parliamentary acts in areas of competence - Care for and cultivate relationships with companies, trade union and employer organizations, educational institutions, and political authorities - Ensure correct financial management for the professional training sector and for the Division's cost centers - Manage the administrative and teaching staff employed by the Division in line with the State Council and Department's provisions, promoting a positive and value-creating work climate ## Requirements - University degree or professional school degree (bachelor + master or license) - Knowledge of the Swiss education system and the cantonal and national professional training system - Proven experience in management and leadership - Experience in school management, educational institutions, and/or public institutions may be a preferred title - Interdisciplinary work attitude and ability to work in complex contexts - Sensitivity to sustainability, inclusion, and equal opportunities issues - Excellent knowledge of the Italian language - Knowledge (spoken and/or written) of German and French - Knowledge of English may be a preferred title - Relational, communication, and mediation skills ## What We Offer - Start date: August 1, 2026 or to be agreed - A 50% employment rate is only possible in the form of job sharing with two part-time periods - In this case, candidates must submit individual applications and indicate in their motivation letter their intention to take on the job sharing function together with their personal details and those of the person with whom they intend to share the function ## Contact - Applications must be submitted online - Other forms of application will not be considered valid - In addition to the documents to be submitted at the time of online application (presentation and motivation letter, curriculum vitae, diplomas, certificates, and work attestations), further documentation may be requested at a later time (judicial record with related self-certification and self-certification of health status) - Nomination or appointment: those provided for by the Law on the Organization of State Employees and Teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation - Any modification of law concerning salary and organization remains explicitly reserved - Working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs - Deadline: April 7, 2026 - Further information can be obtained from Mrs. Marina Carobbio Guscetti, State Councillor and Director of the DECS, tel. 091 814 44 50.
