The Position

What to expect

The Division Diagnostics Operations Penzberg is the world's most important Roche Diagnostics producer of high-quality input materials and intermediate products for Roche's entire diagnostic production. The quality control unit is responsible for the analysis and release of these products. The focus for this position is on molecular biological and immunological analysis and functional release methods.

The team

In the modern laboratory of the group, 13 colleagues await you, who work in close exchange with each other and with other quality control groups. At your side are laboratory assistants who can plan laboratory operations and answer questions about analytics. Beyond the groups, we are closely networked with the interfaces of pattern drawing, planning and production. You can expect a working environment that will make it easy for you to gain a foothold. We have a balanced mix of long-time experienced and young employees. Good and trusting cooperation in the team is an important component of our success.

Your tasks

• You perform analytics in the field of molecular biology (e.g. RealTime PCR, nucleic acid purification) and sequencing (NGS)
• You select analytics results independently and document them in accordance with DIN ISO / GMP. Applicable work instructions
• You recognize, document and edit deviations
• You maintain your laboratory workplace and take responsibility for equipment
• You independently carry out test measurements as part of validations and optimizations of analytical test methods
• Additional tasks as well as special analyses are done independently after instruction by your supervisor

The readiness for use in a biological laboratory with work according to IfSG, GenTG and Biomaterials Ordinance and there the handling of infectious material is required for the position. The position also requires readiness for shift work (early and late shift), including work on weekends.

Your profile

Bring for this position You have the following requirements

• Your training as a laboratory chemistry/biology (m/f/d) or CTA/BTA/PTA/LTA/MTA or You have successfully completed a comparable education
• You have practical experience in next generation sequencing workflows and molecular biology analysis, especially in the field of RealTime PCR (e.g. LightCycler) and nucleic acid purification (e.g. MagNA Pure, High Pure).
• You have successfully completed further training as a technician or gained at least 3 years of professional experience in an analytical laboratory in the field of quality control (GMP).
• You master the common IT applications (e.g. MS-Office, Google Tools, SAP)
• Reliability, resilience, communication strength and the courage for new ideas distinguish you
• Responsibility and joy in working together in a team are among your strengths
• You feel comfortable in a dynamic project environment with rapidly changing requirements

This position is limited to 24 months from hiring.
