Role overview

Description The Road Construction Department is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of cantonal roads, water engineering, and slow traffic in Graubünden.

Additionally, we are responsible for the operational maintenance of national roads within the canton.

The canton's road infrastructure includes over 1,450 works of art, such as bridges with heights up to 90 meters and tunnels with lengths up to 3 kilometers.

Key requirements

  • Completed vocational training in the construction industry
  • Additional training as a Construction Manager, Polier, or equivalent further education
  • Several years of professional experience in road and civil engineering
  • Practical experience in tendering
  • Personality with assertiveness, organizational and negotiation skills, as well as teamwork abilities
  • Knowledge of Italian and/or Romansh is an advantage
