Tasks

• participates in the project of dialects of Italian Switzerland (VSI), drafting the articles of the work and dealing with all phases of research and publication

• collaborates on the maintenance and updating of the digitalized system of editing and publication of the VSI

• contributes to the realization of new forms of digital sharing and dissemination of data related to VSI and other projects of the Center of dialectology and ethnography (CDE)

• and actively participates in research and publishing projects on dialects and the linguistic reality of Italian Switzerland

• cares contacts and exchanges with institutions and bodies for the purposes similar to VSI and represents it in scientific meetings on the subject

• care for the dissemination of research results

• offers advice to specialist and general public

Requirements

• complete academic training (bachelor and master or license) in Italian, with specialization in linguistics and/or history of language and dialects

• proven research experience in one or more areas of VSI activity (dialettology, historical linguistics, etymology, ethnography)

• scientific publications in dialectology and/or historical linguistics, in particular on northern dialects

• proven knowledge of digital tools for linguistic research and lexicography

• good knowledge of the main German and French official languages (conversation and editing) and knowledge of English

• knowledge of the territorial and cultural reality of Italian Switzerland

• initiative, flexibility and attitude to group work

Special remarks

• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist I (class 10) can be attributed only to candidates who have complete academic qualifications: university license, degree, Bachelor's + Master's degree or professional university (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have gained at least 15 years of professional experience in the required scope

• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist/II (class 9) will be attributed to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and in possession of complete academic qualifications: university license, degree, consecutive university master or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)

Conditions of use

• appointment or assignment: these are those provided for by the Law on the sorting of employees of the State and teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the relevant Regulations. Any amendment of the law concerning salary and organization remains explicitly reserved

• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment ratio), flexible or according to service requirements
