Tasks

• carry out technical-specialistic advice in horticulture and fruit growing
• guarantee the weekly collection and transmission of data concerning the cantonal production of vegetables and berries in close collaboration with the Swiss horticulture plant and the Swiss Fruit Association
• carrying out plant protection monitoring in collaboration with research centres as decision-making support for horticultural companies
• organize training and information moments, manage working groups and of interest and draw up informative texts
• implement fertilization plans, treatment plans, budgets, economic and agronomic relationships
• accompany projects aimed at finding solutions for the garden sector adapted to our climate and territory
• participate in meetings and collaborate at the cantonal and federal level with category associations and research to promote the cantonal orthogon sector
• Requirements
• university education (bachelor + master or bachelor) in agronomy or horticulture
• experience in providing agricultural advice, with skills in horticulture and plant health monitoring
• good knowledge of the cantonal territory
• excellent knowledge of the Italian language (speaking and written) and excellent knowledge of at least one second official language (speaking and written), preferably German
• interest in continuous learning, openness to professional challenges and attitude to interpersonal relationships
• ability to assume responsibility and to work in a group
• practical sense, ability to analyse and propose concrete solutions
• initiative, discretion and reliability Special remarks
• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist/a I (class 10) can be attributed only to candidates who have complete academic qualifications: university license, degree, Bachelor's + Master's degree or professional university (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have gained at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist/second (class 9) will be attributed to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and in possession of complete academic qualifications: university license, degree, consecutive university master or professional university school (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) Application conditions
