Tasks

• evaluate projects, prepare for and provide advice in the context of cantonal and federal authorisation procedures, in particular in relation to projects subject to environmental impact examination (EIA)
• evaluate projects, prepare for and advise on changing procedures of the cantonal plan and local planning
• evaluate and manage, in collaboration with the Offices concerned, cantonal and federal consultations in relation to drafting or updating policies, action plans and regulations in the environmental sector
• co-operation with the management of environmental aspects related to transversal issues such as water, agriculture, energy policy and climate change, coordinated with colleagues and the Offices concerned, ensuring technical advice within the Section
• to treat and coordinate contacts by collaborating with other departments of the Administration (Cantonal and Federal) and external bodies in relation to environmental issues of the Section
• co-operate with the processing of IT media and data collection and the processing of information on environmental issues
• to cooperate in the field of environmental protection and also to take special tasks at the request of the Section Head

Requirements

• academic training (bachelor and master or license or bachelor) preferably in the field of environmental sciences, good knowledge of environmental protection and multiannual working experience
• good knowledge of administrative and legal procedures relating to environmental protection, spatial planning, and authorisation procedures
• good knowledge of the operation of the Administration
• excellent linguistic knowledge of Italian and good knowledge (conversation and editing) of German and French
• ability to draft letters, decisions and reports
• ease to talk in public and to set up presentations
• good contact with colleagues and external interlocutors
• The aim of this initiative is to develop the themes entrusted and to work as a group.
• availability to carry out inspections and checks on the territory
• availability to the scientific update, to follow working groups, study days, conferences, training courses outside Canton availability at work outside and outside hours

Special remarks

• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist/a I (class 10) can be attributed only to candidates who have complete academic qualifications: university license, degree, Bachelor's + Master's degree or professional university (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have gained at least 15 years of professional experience in the required scope
• the function of scientific collaborator/scientist/second (class 9) will be attributed to candidates possessing only a Bachelor's or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and possessing full academic qualifications: university license, degree, consecutive university master's degree or professional university (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)

Terms of use

• appointment or assignment: these are those provided for by the Law on the sorting of employees of the State and teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the relevant Regulations. Any amendment of the law concerning salary and organization remains explicitly reserved
• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment ratio), flexible or according to service requirements
