The GZO Spital Wetzikon is an innovative acute hospital in the Zurich Oberland with 150 beds and around 900 employees. The Neurology Department has been part of the Department of Medicine since late autumn 2022 and, with its certified stroke unit as a member of the Zurich and St. Gallen Stroke Networks, ensures acute stroke care for the Zurich Oberland and the neighboring See-Gaster (SG) region. The department currently has 1.9 medical FTEs assigned to it, spread over three neurology specialists. The team is supplemented by an Advanced Practice Nurse (ANP) and a clinical specialist, particularly to support the outpatient clinic. Every year we treat around 380 inpatients in the stroke unit and around 50 patients as part of Parkinson's complex treatment, a newly established focus. We care for around 1,000 patients on an outpatient basis, focusing on cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders and electrophysiology

• There is also an established botulinum toxin consultation. We run a busy neurological consultation service for the hospital. The department has a modern technical infrastructure (ultrasound: GE Logiq Fortis, ENMG: Keypoint G4, EEG: Nicolet One). There is close and well-established interdisciplinary collaboration within the company with all relevant medical departments.
