Role overview

Description The State Chancellery provides strategic, organizational, and advisory support to the State Council and its President, exercising state major functions and ensuring coordination, coherence, and effectiveness of the cantonal administration's action.

The State Councillor/ess: - Reports directly to the State Council - Heads the State Chancellery - Operates as a cross-functional coordination function between departments Main tasks: - Support to the State Council - Secretary/ess of the State Council - Support to the planning of government activity - Preparation, follow-up, and verification of the implementation of government decisions - Execution of tasks assigned by laws and regulations Coordination and state major functions: - Chairmanship of the Interdepartmental Coordination Group for collaboration between Departments and Central Services - Planning, organization, and verification of the activity of the cantonal administration - Coordination of internal and external government information Digital transformation: - Coordination of the cantonal administration's digital transformation activities Management and administration: - Management of the State Chancellery - Responsibility for the functioning of administrative units and subordinate services - Management of the Protocol Service Representation and institutional guarantees: - Representation of the State Council in intercantonal assemblies, on mandate - Guarantee of respect for political rights Other tasks: - Taking on additional tasks assigned by the State Council in accordance with institutional needs ## Requirements - Complete academic education (bachelor + master or license) - Experience with managerial responsibilities (conduct and management) in public administration, parapublic, or private sector - Good knowledge of the cantonal administration and Swiss institutions in general - Good analytical, synthetic, organizational, negotiation, and writing skills - Initiative, creativity, decision-making, and flexibility - Proven attitude to relationships, mediation, and change management - Reliability, personal integrity, and credibility - Excellent knowledge of the Italian language (conversation and writing) and good written and spoken knowledge of German and French - Swiss citizenship ## Application conditions - Applications must be submitted online.
