Tasks

• manage services and procedures related to the Ex Libris Aleph library cataloguing application

• manage applications, services and web procedures at the Ticino Library System

• guarantee assistance to librarians and users

• maintain contacts with partners and suppliers (including data supplies for external services and migrations)

• update the documentation of the Ticino Library System

• predispose the operations of user cards of the Ticino Library System

• elaborate the statistics of the Ticino Library System

• to develop instruments of verification and comparison of accounting and administrative aspects related to cash and liquidity at the libraries of the Ticino Librarian System

Requirements

• bachelor in computer science

• knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

• skills in programming in Linux environment (ksh, csh, peri, python, expect)

• skills in web programming (html, java, php, javascript, css, sqlplus, xml, servlet)

• skills in the management of Apache, Tomcat, Oracle systems

• the experience of participation in projects within the specific framework is preferential.

• basic knowledge of official and English languages

• spirit of initiative and collaboration

• independence, sense of responsibility, reliability and precision

• availability to change and flexibility

• availability to participate in both internal and external courses or seminars aimed at acquiring greater competence in the professional field of competence

Application conditions

Conditions of use

• appointment or assignment: these are those provided for by the Law on the order of employees of the State and of teachers of 15 March 1995 (LORD) and the relevant Regulation. Any amendment of the law concerning salary and organization remains explicitly reserved

• working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment ratio), flexible or according to service requirements
