# AFC Apprentice Operator / Social Welfare Operator, Childhood address

The University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Italian Switzerland (SUPSI) is offering a competitive position at USI SUPSInido on the East Campus of Viganello.

apprenticeship as a Social Welfare Operator/Operator (OSA)

Childhood address, for the three-year training period 2026-2029. Occupancy level: 100%. Entry into service: August or September 2026 (to be agreed).

Main activities

During the three years of apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to acquire the professional skills necessary for the assistance and care of children in educational contexts. The training course, structured according to the official plan and the objectives set for obtaining the AFC, will allow you to develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. You will be accompanied by expert educators and the head office manager, through moments of observation, discussion and supervision. You will be progressively involved in educational and healthcare activities, with a gradual increase in operational autonomy. You will actively participate in educational projects and team meetings, thus promoting integrated growth within the work group and a complete and stimulating training experience.

During your journey, you will mainly deal with

• Socio-educational activities in close contact with children and parents, aimed at promoting harmonious and relational development.
• Accompaniment during the settling-in phase, with attention to the emotional well-being of children and the involvement of parental figures.
• Promotion of the physical and mental well-being of children, with sensitivity towards particular situations and individual needs.
• Work in a multidisciplinary team, with division of roles and tasks based on the specific skills present in the structure.
• Observation and documentation of development processes, useful for planning targeted educational activities suitable for different age groups.
