Description of tasks - guarantee the application of the laws and regulations of the prison facilities and the related internal provisions so as to ensure order, safety and good functioning - carry out the tasks assigned by the hierarchical superior, in compliance with the description of the function and the list of duties of the place of service - know the procedures, as well as the various safety devices - supervise the correct execution of the daily program, ensuring compliance with it by the persons deprived of personal liberty, interacting with it to ensure a correct evolution of the detention - carry out inspections / searches / checks - actively collaborate in ordinary management, as well as emergencies - record significant events for the service, fill in the necessary forms and tables on the various IT media; promptly report relevant events concerning the staff / inmates / the structure / systems / equipment / vehicles / material and collaborate in their control and functionality - follow continuous training, carried out inside and outside the cantonal territory - maintain behavior worthy of esteem and the trust required by the function even when off duty in order to protect the image of the prison facilities and the cantonal administration ## Requirements - Swiss citizenship - age: classes from 1978 are admitted as of 2005 - high school diploma or federal certificate of ability obtained at the end of an internship lasting at least three years, or equivalent qualification - category B driving license - strong motivation for one's work - having applied for SAC competitions no more than three times; candidates who have not passed the SAC psychological suitability assessment are required to wait 2 years between one application and another ## Physical and psychological requirements - good general state of health, in particular absence of pathologies that compromise the regular performance of the job as a shift custody officer - good physical and stress resistance and mental suitability for the role - minimum height: 165 cm men / 155 cm women - no dependencies incompatible with the function of Custodian: in particular, the candidate may be subjected to adequate tests to verify the abuse of alcoholic beverages or narcotic and psychotropic substances - minimum uncorrected visual acuity of 0.2 bilaterally and minimum corrected visual acuity of 0.8 for one eye and 0.2-0.6 for the other eye.
No decrease in visual field, nor strabismus, nor diplopia.
Absence of relevant anomalies in the perception of colors (a mild protanomaly is permitted; mild deuteranomaly; mild tritanomaly) - no hearing anomalies - only tattoos that do not express discriminatory or offensive messages are permitted, provided they are not on the neck, nape, skull, face and hands ## Skills - good knowledge of the spoken and written Italian language - knowledge of other languages is an advantage - adequate IT knowledge at user level - flexibility, attitude to work group and reliability - ability to work systematically, quickly and autonomously - analytical and decision-making ability - ease in contact with people ## Conduct and precedents - an in-depth and all-inclusive collection of police information on the candidate's entire personal career will ascertain the absence of elements or any precedents incompatible with the function of Custodial Officer, through the evaluation, in particular: - of the seriousness or nature of a crime committed - of recidivism - good reputation; in particular, behaviors that are incompatible with the function of Custody Agent of Prison Facilities must not emerge, such as dishonorable conduct, failure to respect the ethical values shared by society, character predispositions to conflict, etc.
