Role overview

The Office for Forest and Natural Hazards (OFNH) is the cantonal specialist authority for forests and protection against natural hazards.

The employees of the OFNH work to meet society's needs regarding forests and ensure sustainable forest management.

Tasks: Management of the cantonal collective project for infrastructure rehabilitation Review and assessment of infrastructure projects and execution of the corresponding approval procedures Implementation of construction measures within the framework of the Forest Fire Prevention Concept 2030 Assumption of planning tasks, project and construction site management, as well as processing of technical foundations Active involvement in the development and further advancement of the cantonal forest infrastructure cadastre Collaboration with regional infrastructure specialists, cantonal and federal specialist agencies, and other partners
