Mission

The Operations department manages and operates the real estate infrastructure and services to EPFL users. It is composed of about 80 employees active in CVSE techniques, Building Maintenance as well as in concierge and stewardship services.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities as a waste disposal worker

Main tasks

• Collection of AI/SV EcoPoints
• Management of containers SG / BP / AAx
• Collection of specific containers and sorting cabinets
• Goupil collection - common waste
• Central waste disposal monitoring, handling and cleaning
• Permanence of central waste disposal
• Aid for complex manipulations, made to minimum 2
• Support for the administrative tasks of the waste manager
• Continuing training in the field of activities

Periodic tasks

• Support in waste management
• Decision analysis (comprehension of annual reporting, calculation of recycling rate)
• Special waste management (basic: 1 training day COSEDEC / Cridec)
• Support for exceptional activities (students, sections, workshops etc.)
• Third-party communications: remitting.ex, service providers and colleagues (English niv2)
• Sharing the "circularity in open community" strategy
• Replacement of waste disposal manager or intendant

Profile

• Knowledge of the waste treatment environment
• Strong social and communication skills to interact effectively internally and externally
• Strong sense of service, cross-cutting collaboration, ability to find solutions and manage multiple priorities under pressure with a range of stakeholders
• Excellent organizational ability, logical spirit, rigorous and methodical
• Good mastery of French
• English level B1, an asset
