Introduction

In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality as a sustainability manager in purchasing (focus on biodiversity & circular economy). It is a temporary maternity representation until February 2028. From the responsible procurement of critical raw materials to the targeted promotion of our organic range, you are shaping the future of our offer in this role. In addition, you drive the closure of resource cycles: You accompany the implementation of our packaging strategy and develop effective solutions with relevant stakeholders to avoid food waste in the upstream value chain. Your tasks

• Responsible for implementing our strategy in the areas of biodiversity and circular economy with a focus on upstream value chains and ranges

• Professional support and close cooperation with operational purchasing

• Design and management of projects within the framework of strategy implementation

• Survey of subject-relevant KPIs

• Expert contact for questions about biodiversity and the circular economy

• Cooperation and coordination with relevant internal interfaces (e.g. Lidl International, Corporate Affairs),

Packaging management, marketing, etc.

• Professional preparation for marketing and corporate communication for various communication materials

• cooperation with external stakeholders (label organisations, NGOs, suppliers, science, federal government, politics and

other relevant industry actors

• Representation in multi-stakeholder initiatives and events

Your profile

• Completed studies in economics, social sciences or agronomy

• In-depth knowledge in the field of biodiversity and circular economy

• Professional experience in sustainability management is advantageous, ideally in purchasing or in a private company

• Management personality

• Analytical and conceptual skills, networked thinking and assertiveness

• Very good knowledge of German and conversation-proof in English
