Introduction

Do you want to actively promote decarbonisation in the Swiss retail trade? As a manager (m/f/d) sustainability in purchasing, you are the driving force behind our ambitious climate strategy in the upstream supply chains (Scope 3). With your deep expertise, you reduce CO2 emissions in the area of commercial goods and encourage stakeholders to act. At the same time, you ensure the compliance of LIdl Switzerland in the area of human rights due diligence (focus on children’s rights) – supported by the frameworks of Lidl International. Your tasks

• Responsible for implementing our Scope 3 climate strategy in the area of commercial goods in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders

• Development and implementation of the human rights strategy in close cooperation with Lidl International and other relevant stakeholders.

• Professional support and close cooperation with operational purchasing

• Conception and management of supply chain projects of the own department within the framework of strategy implementation

• Conducting a regular trend, competition and market analysis in the subject areas

• Professional contact for climate and human rights due diligence

• Cooperation and coordination with relevant internal interfaces

• Professional preparation for marketing and corporate communication for various communication materials

• Cooperation with external stakeholders (NGOs, science, suppliers, federal government, politics and other relevant industry players)

• Representation in multi-stakeholder initiatives and events

Your profile

• Completed studies in economics, social sciences or agronomy

• Several years of professional experience in sustainability management, ideally in purchasing or in a private company/food industry in Switzerland

• In-depth knowledge in the field of climate (Scope 3, FLAG, E+I)

• Knowledge of corporate due diligence in the field of human rights

• Relevant experience in stakeholder management and knowledge of relevant stakeholders in the food industry and agriculture

• Management personality

• Strong analytical and assertive skills

• Experience in project management with a focus on climate and, at best, corporate due diligence

• Very good knowledge of German and conversation-proof in English, French is advantageous
