Do you want to design global procurement strategies and develop sustainable solutions for a competitive supplier network together with international teams?
As a Global Category Manager, you assume strategic responsibility for defined product groups and their portfolio management.
You combine global procurement goals with the requirements for sustainability, quality, cost, delivery capability and technology and work closely with internal specialist areas as well as strategic suppliers.

Main responsibilities
- You develop and implement global strategies for the assigned commodity groups and manage their portfolio along the company’s goals
- You will lead cross-functional teams in planning and implementing global procurement projects and lead buying initiatives
- You build strategic relationships with key suppliers, develop them further and negotiate contracts, prices and conditions
- Analyze market and technology trends, develop cost-efficient solutions and drive initiatives for sustainable cost optimization
- They work closely with research and development, lifecycle management and supply chain teams, integrate new technologies and identify and reduce global supply chain risks. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a comparable subject area
- Five to seven years of professional experience in procurement, project implementation, production or research and development, of which at least two years in a globally oriented function
- In-depth project management knowledge as well as experience in the management of cross-functional and international teams and the ability to work in a structured and solution-oriented manner even in the event of changing requirements

- Very good communication and negotiation skills in German and English, at least at level B2, as well as security in exchange with different levels of organization
