The Migros Museum for Contemporary Art is part of the Society & Culture Directorate of the Migros Cooperative Association, which, as a national competence center, is responsible for a broad portfolio of cultural and social projects of Migros Engagement.

- Establishment and further development of an audience-oriented service and reception culture as well as conception of processes and forms of communication that enable low-threshold access
- Systematic evaluation of visitor feedback and key figures;
- Several years of professional experience: in an environment with intensive Contact with the public and leadership experience, ideally in the cultural or service sector
- Completed studies (university/ETH, FH, HF): in a relevant area or equivalent professional experience
Main responsibilities
- Establishment and further development of an audience-oriented service and reception culture as well as conception of processes and forms of communication that enable low-threshold access
- Systematic evaluation of visitor feedback and key figures;
- Derivation and implementation of concrete measures such as guidelines and standards
- Ensuring smooth operations in the Visitor Services area with responsibility for the museum shop, supervision, personnel deployment planning, representative coordination and cooperation with security, technology and facility management
- Professional and personnel management of the Visitor Services team (motivating and supporting employees in change processes and specifically recognizing and promoting individual strengths)
- Close cooperation in the team, especially with the areas of mediation, communication and the exhibition team
Key requirements
- Several years of professional experience: in an environment with intensive Contact with the public and leadership experience, ideally in the cultural or service sector
- Completed studies (university/ETH, FH, HF): in a relevant area or equivalent professional experience
- Enjoy designing and further developing processes as well as working closely in teams and transversal working groups
- Strongly audience-oriented attitude: enthusiasm for contact with heterogeneous groups of visitors and breaking down barriers and, ideally, experience in working with target groups remote from the museum, for example in community projects
- Interest and openness for contemporary art, topics related to cultural participation and different approaches to art and culture
