Role overview

Our Group Technology Services division provides IT services and services for many Migros Group companies.

As a Network Engineer (w/m/d) you help to design, operate and strategically develop our networks in the Data Centers including Back-Breet, Partner-Connections and Cloud-Integration in one of Switzerland's largest IP networks.

Main responsibilities

  • Design and further development of our Data Center networks based on Cisco ACI and other leading technologies
  • Responsibility for the architecture and optimization of our MPLS back-bone and its further development in terms of scalability and performance
  • Design and optimization of Internet and cloud connections as well as ensuring stability and security
  • Trouble notification and operation of complex network structures with a focus on BGP, MPLS and Cisco ACI
  • Coordination and control of external partners and service providers in defined topics
  • Training and support of employees of the Network Operation Center (NOC) and maintenance and further development of technical documentation in Co-Rine

Key requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience: in architecture and in the operation of complex network infrastructures with a focus on Cisco ACI, MPLS, BGP and cloud connections as well as in-depth experience in project management e.g. strategic development of network infrastructures
  • completed vocational education (EFZ): in computer science including manufacturer certificates, appropriate further education HF/FH/Uni of advantage
  • manufacturer certificates at level CCNP/CCIE
  • well-founded knowledge in the mercantile mercantile and in the optimization of large networks
  • readiness for piket service (approx.
  • 10 missions per year) as well as occasional night and weekend placements
  • Modern infrastructure: diverse working zones and modern co-working spaces with advanced equipment
