We create perspectives for people in a self-responsible life outside of crime and thus make an important contribution to a safe society. The Office for the Imprisonment of Justice of the Department of Security and Justice employs around 260 people in various professional fields. In the Criminal and Implementation of Measures Department, we execute the penalties and measures rendered by the public prosecutor and the courts. We take the necessary decisions and issue the appropriate orders.

What to expect

• Independent organisation of the execution of unconditional prison sentences, inpatient therapeutic measures and detention
• Management, coordination and monitoring of enforcement
• Preparation of risk and intervention planning
• Processing submissions from sentenced persons and their legal representatives, as well as active contact with authorities, courts, law enforcement agencies and professionals of various professional disciplines
• Conduct of hearings with recording
• Preparation of orders

• Completed law degree (lic.iur. or master) with professional practice ideally in the field of public administration and interest in interdisciplinary, especially forensic issues
• Holistic and structured thinking and acting person with the willingness to take on a high level of responsibility
• Rapid comprehension, assertiveness and interest and readiness for education and training in the field
• Very good oral and written language
