PROFILE

• Completed BSc/MSc training focusing on acoustics in one of the following areas: automotive, aerospace, railway
• Knowledge of the main acoustic simulation frameworks with associated limitations
• Knowledge of a CAD platform, preferably Catia as well as knowledge with Wave6 is advantageous
• Readiness to travel in the context of validation or fault measurement campaigns
• Can-do attitude with above-average communication skills
• Proven knowledge of German and English in word and writing (min. B2)
• Optional programming experience (e.g. Matlab, Python or Julia)
• Presentation, communication and reporting ability in English and German
• Very good teamwork
• Social skills, high commitment and intercultural thinking

TASKS

• Accompanying the vehicle projects from the point of view of acoustic conformity (concept, design, construction, type test)
• Evaluation and formulation of acoustic requirements / create offers according to budget and competitiveness
• Responsibility for coordination with suppliers to enforce the requirements for noise-related components
• Collection of relevant vehicle information useful as acoustic prediction input
• Definition of the acoustic test specifications demonstrating vehicle conformity.
• Planning, coordination and conduct of on-site acoustic tests.
• Contributing to the transformation of predictive acoustic results into the improvement of the implementable vehicle
• Preparation of proposals for optimisation
• Creation and assessment of system concepts based on external and internal requirements
• Perform acoustic simulations
• Provision of recommendations and advice for acoustic solutions
• Creating, updating and communicating design guidelines
• Responsible for airborne and structure-borne noise development/validation measurement campaigns
