- You are responsible for taking over, preserving, developing and making available the archaeological collections owned by the Canton of Basel-Landschaft or left to him for care on the basis of the Treaty of Rome.
- You initiate and accompany the key project for the organizational and spatial integration of the canton’s archaeological collections, including the re-inventory of the old stocks.
- You develop the collection strategy for all archaeological collections as well as the collection concepts and processes derived from them and develop them continuously.
- You are responsible for the lending as well as the management and further development of the Fund Depots.
- You have the technical, human and administrative responsibility for leading a medium-sized team
- You engage yourself creatively in concepts for the digitization of the cantonal collections together with the collections of the museum.
- You get involved so that the collections are available for research and support the public companies, namely Augusta Raurica, in communicating scientific findings from the collection area.
- You maintain relationships with national and international museum and non-museum collections as well as educational institutions Requirements
- You have completed university studies in Provincial Roman Archaeology, Classical Archaeology, Medieval Archaeology or Prehistory and Early History.
- You will bring in-depth experience in the supervision and further development of archaeological collections.
- You have several years of leadership experience in the management of medium-sized to large teams, ideally in the context of public administration.
- You communicate clearly and appreciatively, approach people openly and enjoy working with different stakeholders.
