Company and context
- In this role, you take over the professional and organizational management of a team of animal care providers:innen .
- At the same time, you are mainly responsible for the training of animals, work practically in animal care and shape the further development of our husbandry, care and enrichment programs.
- They lead and coordinate a team of 3-5 animal keepers: professional and organizational.
- They train animals in the context of animal care and behavioral research, especially with positive reinforcement.
- They plan work processes, priorities and assignments in the animal care team.
- They develop clear routines, standards and documentation processes for animal care, training and enrichment.
- They are responsible for the conception, implementation and ongoing improvement of a species-appropriate and varied enrichment program.
- They observe, assess and document animal behaviour, health and welfare.
- They work closely with researchers, veterinarians, animal welfare officers and other internal bodies.
- They provide practical assistance in animal care, including feeding, cleaning and care of facilities.
